Why can’t I just install a blog on my own site?
You can! If you have the time and the skill, we certainly suggest you download the free software from WordPress.org and do it yourself, and it gives you more freedom and there is no cost. However, you need to deal with installation and hosting, and you NEED to keep it updated constantly with security patches. If this is beyond your skills, then we’re your answer.
Why don’t I just use a free service from Blogger or something?
You certainly can, but there are significant disadvanges. Some include:
- Lack of themes — we offer far more design choices than any free service.
- Lack of plugins — most offer no plugins (or very few), whereas we give you a lot of great ones to choose from, with more being added all the time.
- Search Engine Optimization — we have carefully crafted our sites to give you top-notch Search Engine Optimation. Other sites do it to some degree, but they’re also trying to promote their own site. We’re all about helping you succeed.
- Ads — we will never show any ads of any kind on your site.
